King Of Merrimu – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to a right wrist injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Janali.
Almendra was quick to begin. Gin Lee's Bullet, Young Rachel and Angel Of Glory were slow to begin.
Young Rachel and Angel Of Glory collided soon after the start checking Angel Of Glory. King Of Merrimu and Dodge An' Steele collided approaching the first turn. King Of Merrimu and Almendra collided on the first turn checking Almendra which then collided with Gin Lee's Bullet and Crackerjack Tim causing Crackerjack Tim to race wide. Young Rachel, Crackerjack Tim and Dodge An' Steele raced wide on the home turn. Angel Of Glory and Crackerjack Tim collided in the home straight. Almendra and Dodge An' Steele collided approaching the winning post.
