Zafonic Trevor and Crackerjack Tys collided soon after the start. Crackerjack Tys and Broken Rules collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Broken Rules lost ground from approaching the first turn and finished tailed off as a result.

Broken Rules underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Tex Burger – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to a change of kennel. New declared weight of 31.3kgs, last raced at 32.8kgs. Trainer Travis Monaghan was questioned regarding the improved performance. Mr Monaghan stated that he was happy with the greyhounds lead up performances and that the greyhound had trialed well at Geelong. Mr Monaghan was expecting a forward showing tonight. Stewards noted Mr Monaghan's explanation and will investigate the betting activity in this event following a significant market fluctuation for the greyhound. A post race sample was taken from Tex Burger.

Winslow Lodge and Ellie Wires collided approaching the home turn. Rotarua and Cherokee Fawn collided on the home turn.

He's Alexis was slow to begin.

Zipping Chance and Black Tess collided soon after the start. Zipping Chance checked off Black Tess approaching the first turn checking Unity Allen. Blackpool Flyer checked off Black Tess approaching the first turn. He's Alexis galloped on the heels of Blackpool Flyer approaching the first turn checking He's Alexis, Blackpool Flyer and Damo's Pineapple. Blackpool Flyer and Unity Allen collided approaching the home turn checking Blackpool Flyer, Unity Allen and He's Alexis and severely checking Damo's Pineapple which fell as a result.

Unity Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer and was found to have a split webbing and spike wound on the right hind. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Damo's Pineapple underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Mepunga Spectre was slow to begin. 

Wybie Blue and Keisha's Boy raced wide on the home turn. Keisha's Boy raced wide in the home straight.

Dirty Azzurri - Presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Cranbourne on 3rd April 2019. Dirty Azzurri was examined by the on-course veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Dirty Azzurri was cleared to race. 

Little Lotta - Presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Geelong on 8th March 2019. Little Lotta was examined by the on-course veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Little Lotta was cleared to race.
