Blackpool Flyer was quick to begin. Ruby's Boy and Hornet Hudson were slow to begin.
Blackpool Flyer, Imperial Jack, More Wit and Weeping Angel collided soon after the start checking More Wit and Imperial Jack. More Wit and Imperial Jack collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ruby's Boy contacted the rail on the first turn. Hornet Hudson checked off More Wit on the first turn. Blackpool Flyer, Imperial Jack, More Wit and Weeping Angel collided on the first turn severely checking Blackpool Flyer and More Wit. Imperial Jack checked off Banyuatis approaching the home turn.
