Don's Scolari was quick begin.

Don's Scolari turned its head outwards soon after the start. Lloyd Bale turned its head outwards and collided with Arninator soon after the start. Crash Landing checked off Don's Scolari approaching the first turn. Crash Landing and Little Steps collided approaching the home turn. Don's Scolari and Arninator collided approaching the home turn. My Girl Lilly checked off What Feeling approaching the home turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Lloyd Bale - the winner of the event.

Don's Scolari underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr K Ward regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Don's Scolari was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Don's Scolari is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lloyd Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to representative Mr M Gibbons regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Lloyd Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Gibbons pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lloyd Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Yeran and Landon Bale were quick to begin.

Hope To Wyn and Mepunga Spectre collided soon after the start. Yeran and Vroom Vroom collided approaching the first turn checking Yeran. Hope To Wyn and Mepunga Spectre raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Saxon Candy – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to being on season, a pre-race sample was taken. 

Blue Gene Bowie, Don's Noisey and Ultimate Amadeus were quick to begin. Saxon Candy was slow to begin.

Blackpool Flyer was quick to begin. Ruby's Boy and Hornet Hudson were slow to begin.

More Wit and Imperial Jack collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ruby's Boy contacted the rail on the first turn. Hornet Hudson checked off More Wit on the first turn. Blackpool Flyer, Imperial Jack, More Wit and Weeping Angel collided on the first turn severely checking Blackpool Flyer and More Wit. Imperial Jack checked off Banyuatis approaching the home turn.

Blackpool Flyer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the right lumber and shoulder and a spike wound to the right foreleg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Ruby's Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising inside both hindlegs and track legs.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

More Wit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded pad. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Short Note and Monoak were quick to begin.

New Sense went up with the lids and lost ground (5L). Me Bros Bad checked off Monoak approaching the first turn. Meehan Bazz checked off Jim's Hotel on the first turn and collided with Zipping Melody checking both greyhounds. New Sense checked off Monoak approaching the home turn. New Sense crossed wide entering the home straight and collided with Me Bros Bad. Zipping Melody, New Sense, Mr Bros Bad and Meehan Bazz raced wide on the home turn.

Take That Banksy was quick to begin. My Boy Joey and Dyna Bella were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. 

Giant Jarvis, My Boy Joey and Dyna Bella collided on first turn. Giant Jarvis checked off My Boy Joey approaching the home turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Straaljager - the winner of the event.

Take That Banksy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right foreleg and a spike wound to the left hindleg, no stand down period was imposed.

Mask, Bottoms Up, Bronelly Buster, Hello Cobber and Schatzie Armo collided soon after the start severely checking Bottoms Up, Bronelly Buster, Hello Cobber and Schatzie Armo. Schatzie Armo and Bottoms Up collided approaching the first turn checking Bottoms Up. Hello Cobber raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Renaldo - Late scratching at 3.25pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian due to a split webbing. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Run Maggie Run was quick to begin. 

Rellim Diesel and Cruising Betty collided soon after the start and severely checking Cruising Betty. Maximum Bliss and Cruising Betty raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Cruising Betty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right toe injury. A 5 stand down period was imposed.

Riverdale Danger was quick to begin. My Mandara was slow to begin.

My Lil' Angel checked off Riverdale Danger approaching the first turn. Dodge Coupe, Riverdale Danger and Winlock Slim collided on the first turn checking Winlock Slim. My Lil ' Angel and My Mandara collided approaching the home turn.

Bronelly Spike was quick to begin. Sudden Call was slow to begin.

One Step Ahead and Scarlet Magic collided soon after the start. Glascoe Sally, One Step Ahead and Scarlet Magic collided approaching the first turn checking Glascoe Sally, Scarlet Magic and Angel Of Glory. Glascoe Sally raced wide on the home turn. Please Stand Up and Sudden Call raced wide in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trials:

Franki Jay – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as connections wish to apply a right side blinker to the greyhound. Weighing 31.3kgs and beginning from box 5, Franki Jay completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.41. Franki Jay placed 1st in a field of 5 starters winning by 5.75L. Franki Jay has been cleared to race in a right side blinker. 

Zipping Keely – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at The Meadows for marring. Weighing 27.0kgs and beginning from box 8, Zipping Keely completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.97. Zipping Keely placed 4th in a field of 5 starters beaten by 8L. Zipping Keely has been cleared to race at all tracks except The Meadows.
