Little Steps – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to being on season.
Don's Scolari was quick begin.
Don's Scolari turned its head outwards soon after the start. Lloyd Bale turned its head outwards and collided with Arninator soon after the start. Crash Landing checked off Don's Scolari approaching the first turn. Crash Landing and Little Steps collided approaching the home turn. Don's Scolari and Arninator collided approaching the home turn. My Girl Lilly checked off What Feeling approaching the home turn.
A post-race sample was taken from Lloyd Bale - the winner of the event.
Don's Scolari underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr K Ward regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Don's Scolari was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Don's Scolari is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
