A pre-race sample was taken from Bomber's Return.
My Logan Leigh, Mindy's Girl, Bomber's Return and Wild Angel were slow to begin. Mindy's Girl, Yuken Merry, Bomber's Return and Wild Angel collided soon after the start. Belleperi Miss was checked off My Logan Leigh on the first turn. Bomber's Return and Wild Angel collided on the first turn causing Wild Angel to fall. Bomber's Return was checked off Belleperi Miss approaching the home turn. Mossy Oak, Able Bess and Belleperi Miss collided on the home turn.
Wild Angel underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
