Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Tiger Spolly at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.
A sample was taken from Spolly Dolly at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.
A pre-race sample was taken from Tough Turbo.
Tough Turbo and Sisters Lee were slow to begin.
Clover Lee and Little Kiddy collided in the back straight checking Little Kiddy. Clover Lee and Grumpy Ray collided on the first turn. Tough Turbo and Spolly Dolly collided on the first turn. Magic Cosmos crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Little Kiddy. Little Kiddy checked off Magic Cosmos approaching the home turn. Tough Turbo visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Tough Turbo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr C. Blake, the handler of Tough Turbo regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Tough Turbo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Blake pleaded guilty to the charge, Tough Turbo is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
