Stewards spoke to Ms. F. Terry, the trainer of Chucka Khan, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Chucka Khan last raced on 9/11/18. Ms. Terry stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Trickett, the handler of Iona Fire, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Iona Fire last raced on 8/11/18. Mr. Trickett stated that the greyhound had changed kennels.
Chucka Khan was quick to begin. Dorothy Dawn was slow to begin.
Arthur Watts brushed the rail on the first turn and lost ground. Iona Fire checked off Pinnaroo on the first turn. Monoak checked off Arthur Watts approaching the home turn.
A sample was taken from Chucka Khan - the winner of the event.
Arthur Watts was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadriceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
