Track Curator Mr T. Godfrey advised that the track was moderately harrowed on Friday, 22nd March 2019.

Bruno He Mikado was quick to begin.  Jargon Jimmy, Muza's Belle and Conkacoin were slow to begin.

Jargon Jimmy and Muza's Belle collided soon after the start.  Grand Marina and Jargon Jimmy collided approaching the first turn.  Bruno He Mikado checked off Breakaway Bandit on the first turn.  Jargon Jimmy, Grand Marina and Got Some Zip collided on the first turn severely checking Grand Marina and checking Jargon Jimmy, Muza's Belle and Got Some Zip.  Bruno He Mikado and Breakaway Bandit collided approaching the home turn.   Jargon Jimmy and Muza's Belle collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Bruno He Mikado checked off Breakaway Bandit enter the home straight; Bruno He Mikado and Got Some Zip collided as a result.  Bruno He Mikado and Got Some Zip collided in the home straight.  

Jargon Jimmy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a sand toe on the left front paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Wellington the trainer of Jargon Jimmy and issued a warning for the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.

Pacific Title and Arancini were slow to begin.

Arancini checked off Calzone approaching the first turn.  Zipping Tex raced wide on the first turn checking Yuken Win and Calzone.  Pacific Title and Arancini collided on the first turn.  Arancini checked off Pacific Title approaching the second turn.  Calzone checked off Pacific Title on the third turn.    

A pre-race sample was taken from Crystal Shell. 

Aston Ronaldo and Tennyson Girl collided soon after the start.  Crystal Shell and Good Work Johnny collided soon after the start checking Good Work Johnny.  Tennyson Girl and Zipping Ester collided approaching the first turn. Crystal Shell and Aston Ronaldo collided approaching the first turn.  Knocka Bott, Zipping Ester and Tennyson Girl collided on the first turn.  Regal Duke checked off Knocka Bott on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Aston Ronaldo checked off Zipping Ester on the first turn causing Aston Ronaldo and Parumba Ned to collide checking Parumba Ned and Regal Duke.  Tennyson Girl, Zipping Ester and Knocka Bott collided approaching the home turn.  Good Work Johnny checked off Tennyson Girl approaching the home turn.  Crystal Shell checking off Zipping Ester approaching the home turn.  Tennyson Girl and Knocka Bott collided on the home turn.  Tennyson Girl and Good Work Johnny collided entering the home straight.  Tennyson Girl, Good Work Johnny and Knocka Bott collided in the home straight checking Tennyson Girl.  

A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Ester - the winner of the event.

Easy Tash, Kiranna Blue and Mokhtar collided soon after the start.  Kiranna Blue and Mokhtar collided approaching the first turn.  Easy Tash and Tekidanto collided on the first turn.  Mokhtar checked off Easy Tash on the first turn causing Mokhtar to race wide which lost ground as a result.  Easy Tash and Kiranna Blue collided approaching the second turn.  Kiranna Blue and Boycey Road collided in the back straight.  Easy Tash checked off Tekidanto in the back straight checking both greyhounds. 

Mokhtar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both wrists. A 14 stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Crossfire Icon - the 2nd placegetter of the event.

Vladimir Rose – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a right calf injury.  New declared weight of 34kg, last raced at 35.3kg

A pre-race sample was taken from Vladimir Rose.

Midnight Muscat was slow to begin.

Early Spring and Tuiaki Dora collided soon after the start.  Our Bravo Rose and Vladimir Rose collided approaching the first turn.  Mini Dozer and Lady Alliance collided approaching the first turn.  Our Bravo Rose, Vladimir Rose and Mini Dozer collided approaching the first turn.  Our Bravo Rose and Vladimir Rose collided on the first turn causing Our Bravo Rose, Vladimir Rose, Jayanti and Midnight Muscat to collided.  Mini Dozer and Tuiaki Dora collided approaching the home turn.  Vladimir Rose and Jayanti collided approaching the home turn.

Full Moon was quick to begin.  Miss Dozer was slow to begin.

Cheeky Cindy faultered approaching the first turn and subsenquently tailed off.  Chloe Crumpet checked off Iona Misty on the first turn.

Cheeky Cindy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left back muscle, spike wounds and a split webbing to the right hind paw. A 60 stand down period was imposed.

Blue Afro - Late scratching at 11:38am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian due to a right elbow injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Phillip Keeping was quick to begin.  Architecture was slow to begin.

Baggy's Request lost ground from the first turn to the finish of the event.  Belleperi Miss and Parish Power collided entering the home straight checking Parish Power and Myrniong Cosmo.

Baggy's Request underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 stand down period was imposed.

An out of competition sample was taken from Mr.Pendles on 24.03.2019 pursuant to GAR 79A during a kennel visit by stewards.

Spazzy Blue and Soda Kid were quick to begin.  Three Scoops stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.  

Tantalise checked off Mr. Pendles on the first turn. Charlie Haze raced wide in the back straight.  Three Scoops checked off Charlie Haze approaching the winning post.

A post-race sample was taken from Soda Kid - the winner of the event.

Salut Bianca – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a seasonal spell.

A pre-race sample was taken from Salut Bianca. 

Salut Bianca and Terrah Round were quick to begin.  Navy Storm was slow to begin.

Mt. View Gift and Killara John collided soon after the start.  Salut Bianca and Terrah Round collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Taking Off, Navy Storm and Mt. View Gift collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Taking Off checked off Mt. View Gift approaching the home turn.  Ruth's Girl and Terrah Round collided on the home turn checking Terrah Round.  

Hopeful was quick to begin.  Run The Route was slow to begin.

Bluwy, Superstar Jessie and Piparae collided soon after the start checking Piparae and severely checking Superstar Jessie.  Dan's Hopeful and Shotgun Shiloh collided on the first turn checking Dan's Hopeful and Run The Route.  Bluewy checked off Shotgun Shiloh on the home turn colliding with Piparae.

Tex Kingdom – New declared weight of 29.5kg, last raced at 30.6kg

A pre-race sample was taken from Tex Kingdom. 

Pacific Coast and Pacific Beach collided soon after the start.  Lucky Gypsy and Blonde Bella collided soon after the start.  Superior Charry and Bela Natali collided approaching the first turn checking Bela Natali.  Tex Kingdom checked off Superior Charry on the first turn checking both greyhounds; causing Tex Kingdom and Bela Natali to collide, checking Tex Kingdom and Blonde Bella as a result.  Superior Charry and Flash Logie collided approaching the home turn.  Pacific Coast checked off Superior Charry approaching the home turn.  Bela Natali and Pacific Beach collided in the home straight. 

Superior Charry underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have injuries to the area around the left eye and lacerations to the tongue. A 21 stand down period was imposed.

Aremac Igor – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a spell.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aremac Igor. 

Black Eclipse and Mini Tron collided soon after the start.  Farfalla Nera and Black Eclipse collided approaching the first turn.  Aremac Igor and Fiesty Ivy collided on the first turn.  Farfalla Nera, Black Eclipse and She's Got Dash collided on the first turn checking Farfalla Nera and Black Eclipse.  Mini Tron and Fiesty Ivy collided approaching the home turn checking Fiesty Ivy causing Joyce's Choice and Fiesty Ivy to collide.  Farfalla Nera checked off Fiesty Ivy approaching the home turn causing Farfalla Nera and Black Eclipse to collide; Black Eclipse raced wide as a result.  Mini Tron checked off She's Got Dash enter the home straight; She's Got Dash faultered as a result.

She's Got Dash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a broken right hock. A 90 stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial:

Catcha Nugget – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Cranbourne for Failing to Chase. Weighing 33.6kg and beginning from box 1, Catcha Nugget completed the 311m trial distance in a time of 18.75. Catcha Nugget placed 4th in a field of 4 starters beaten by 7 lengths. Catcha Nugget has been cleared to race at all tracks  

Zipping Brandy – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Cranbourne for Marring. Weighing 25.7kg and beginning from box 3, Zipping Brandy completed the 311m trial distance in a time of 18.51. Zipping Brandy placed 3rd in a field of 4 starters beaten by 3.5 lengths. Zipping Brandy has been cleared to race at all tracks.  

Crash Reality – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Sale for Failing to Chase due to injury. Weighing 27.4kg and beginning from box 8,  Crash Reality completed the 311m trial distance in a time of 18.27. Crash Reality placed 1st in a field of 4 starters winning by 2.75 lengths. Crash Reality has been cleared to race at all tracks except Sale.
