Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Prince Ferno on 30/05/19 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Flash Spolly.
Velocity Hope was quick to begin. Akina Spice, Foxy Princess and Valencia Kid were slow to begin. Ebony Lakes, Pambula Power and Prince Ferno collided approaching the first turn checking Pambula Power. Flash Spolly was checked off Valencia Kid on the first turn checking Velocity Hope. Akina Spice, Ebony Lakes and Prince Ferno collided on the first turn checking Prince Ferno and severely checking Akina Spice. Pambula Power was checked off Foxy Princess approaching the home turn. Velocity Hope and Ebony Lakes collided entering the home straight.
Foxy Princess underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post race sample was taken from Valencia Kid - winner of the event.
