Better Dream – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a right metacarpal.

A pre-race sample was taken from Better Dream.

Yondu was slow to begin.

Shooter's Ajax and Gnal Gnal Girl collided at the 300m mark checking Gnal Gnal Girl.

Gnal Gnal Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examinationand no apparent injury could be detected. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Big Little Sis, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Big Little Sis was slow to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start.

Golden Banjo crossed out soon after the start checking Bruno Mikado, Little Nummers, Big Holiday and Silver Sultan. Big Little Sis checked off Golden Banjo at the 150m mark. Little Nummers and Silver Sultan collided at the 150m mark.

Golden Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a surface graze to the right tarsus. A 3 stand down period was imposed.

Crowdza Rockin' and St. Leo were slow to begin.

St. Leo crossed out at the 300m mark checking Blue Marie. Crowdza Rockin' checked off Soda Ezy at the 250m. 

Waltz On Bye underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. 

Aston Klara and Blazing Sword were slow to begin.

Aston Klara crossed out soon after the start checking Blazing Sword. Smoke Signals and Woody's My Name collided at the 300m mark and again at the 250m mark checking Smoke Signals. General Missy and Woody's My Name collided at the 100m mark checking General Missy. Woody's My Name checked off Run Fast Bonnie at the 50m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Run Fast Bonnie - the winner of the event.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter, Mr R. Johnson did not act in any official capacity for this event that may have had an effect on the outcome.

Cullquin Cersei and Master Winslow collided soon after the start. Aston Jewel and Bumper Farrell collided at the 300m mark checking both greyhounds. Bumper Farrell, Well Armed and Master Winslow collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark. Master Winslow checked off Bumper Farrell at the 150m mark.

Handler Ms L. Farquhar was issued a warning after the greyhound Aston Jewel was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  

Club Official Mr T. Ebeyer was reminded of their responsibilities after the greyhound Aston Jewel was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration. 

Lights Of Tanjil and Oliver Cruise collided soon after the start. Oliver Cruise and Tinker Bess collided soon after start. Zharnel and Tinkerbess collided at the 250m mark checking Zharnel. Zharnel checked off Tinker Bess at the 150m mark. Courage Crest, Lights of Tanjil and Tinker Bess collided approaching the winning post checking Lights Of Tanjil.

Tayla's Banjo – New declared weight of 30.0kgs, last raced at 31.8kgs.

Our China Plate went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Nunniong Miss checked off Alouette Jack soon ater the start. Alouette Jack, Got It Right and Tayla's Banjo collided at the 300m mark checking all greyhounds. Tayla's Banjo lost ground at the 200m mark and tailed off. Aloutte Jack lost ground at the 100m mark.

Tayla's Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Alouette Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back injury and mild abrasions to the right tarsus. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Cisco and Superior Hunter were slow to begin. 

Winlock Squints and Superior Charry collided at the 250m mark. Hawkie checked off Winlock Squints at the 200m mark checking Regal Duke. Regal Duke and Winlock Squints collided at the 150m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Underworld Rama - the winner of the event.

Alfie Mikado was slow to begin.

Tennyson Girl and Taking Off collided soon after the start. Alfie Mikado and Taking Off collided at the 250m mark. Tennyson Girl galloped on Shadrack at the 200m mark checking both greyhounds. Lucky Gypsy checked off Good Work Johnny at the 200m mark checking Cawbourne Mav. Cawbourne Mav and Good Work Johnny collided at the 150m mark. Alfie Mikado and Shadrack collided at the 100m mark checking Taking Off. Lucky Gypsy and Taking Off collided at the 50m mark checking both greyhounds.

Striking Bikini – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a spell.

Nitroniun – New declared weight of 31.5kgs, last raced at 33kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Striking Bikini.

Striking Bikini and Miss travers collided soon after the start. Shakey Cougar checked off Striking Bikini at the 200m mark. Alfie's Affair and Striking Bikini collided at the 200m mark. Luna Evening checked off Striking Bikini at the 150m mark. Miss Travers checked off Misty's Boy at the 150m mark. 

Gone Rusty – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a groin injury.

Gone Rusty and Slipaway Whitey were slow to begin. 

Gone Rusty checked off Shogun Sammy at the 250m mark. Major Gas checked off Challis Magic at the 50m mark.

Slipaway Whitey – Proved difficult to box, will be boxed first in future events. 

MEETING COMMENTS

On Friday, 8 March 2019 at the Healesville greyhound meeting, Stewards conducted a preliminary Inquiry into an incident which took place in the surrounds of the kennel block involving licensed persons – Messrs Stephen Brincat and Calven Russell.  Stewards adjourned the Inquiry to assess the evidence taken on the day from licensed Trainers – Mr Stephen Brincat, Mr Calven Russell, Ms Shelley Warde and HGA Employee – Ms Kahlia Johnson and to also view the CCTV footage of the area in which the incident took place.  Stewards today concluded their investigation and after considering all the evidence before them, issued a warning to both participants – Messrs Stephen Brincat and Calven Russell to ensure they behave in a manner which is expected of a licensed person.
