Landon Bale, Shermo Bale, Maximum Zoe and Yanira Bale collided on the first turn. Jed Bale, Rusty Yaala and Kramer Bale collided on the first turn checking Rusty Yaala. Jed Bale and Kramer Bale collided approaching the home turn checking kramer Bale. Yanira Bale clipped the heels of Abby's Toy entering the home straight. Kramer Bale marred Maximum Zoe in the home straight. Yanira Bale and Abby's Toy collided approaching the winning post.
Kramer Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg medial tibial injury. A 10 stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Grenfell, the trainer of Kramer Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Kramer Bale was charged with marring. Mr C. Grenfell pleaded guilty to the charge, Kramer Bale is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
