Bomardier King underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race after the greyhound momentarily slipped the lead in the kennel area.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Schwarz, the Trainer/Handler of Bombardier King and issued him with a warning after he failed to have proper control of the greyhound in the kennel area GAR 27(1).
Olivia's Pearl was slow to begin.
Bombardier King and Tinker Buzz collided soon after the start. Nice Surprise and Moyarra Fantasy collided soon after the start. Bombardier King checked off Tinker Buzz approaching the 300m mark and crossed to the outside. Moyarra Fantasy checked off Tinker Buzz approaching the 250m mark. Nice Surprise and Olivia's Pearl collided at the 150m mark. Nice Surprise checked off Taking Off approaching the winning post.
