Jack Skywalker – Proved difficult to box, will be boxed first in future events.
Dee Jakit was slow to begin.
Jack Skywalker checked off Aston Xanadu at the 200m mark checking Aston Xanadu. Jack Skywalker, Black In Town and Mt. View Gift collided at the 150m mark. Fargo Victorem eased approaching the 50m mark and lost considerable ground.
Fargo Victorem underwent a post-race veterinary examination and after being re-vetted following event 11, was found to have right wrist injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr R. Gray, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Fargo Victorem was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Gray pleaded not guilty to the charge, Fargo Victorem was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
