Stewards spoke to Mr G.Webb, the trainer of Classy Fernando regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Classy Fernando last raced on 9 November, 2018. Mr Webb stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after an achilles injury.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to holding for a harness race at Redcliffe.

Kid Lavros was slow to begin. Space Alert, Classy Fernando and Cindy's Mate collided soon after the start checking Classy Fernando. Classy Fernando, Spolly's Jet and Kid Lavros collided approachig the first turn checking Spolly's Jet. Custom Made and Space Alert collided on the first turn. Classy Fernando and Kraken Tan collided on the first turn checking Kraken Tan. Classy Fernando and Cindy's Mate collided approaching the winning post. Spolly's Jet clipped the heels of Kid Lavros approaching the winning post.

Unwanted Lady, Golden Shiraz and Kraken Ruby were quick to begin. Agent Que and Wally Milne collided soon after the start checking Agent Que. Agent Que, Zero To Hero and Kraken Ruby collided in the back straight. Unwanted Lady, Wally Milne, Golden Shiraz, Kraken Ruby and Flame Slinger collided on the first turn severely checking Agent Que, Unwanted Lady, Flame Slinger and Golden Shiraz which fell as a result. Zipping Simon brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.

Zipping Simon was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Miss Booming, Jumbo Bale, Booming Zulus, and April Jay collided soon after the start checking April Jay. Jumbo Bale and Booming Zulus collided approaching the first turn checking Jumbo Bale. Adala Prince clipped the heels of Magic Jet in the home straight. Jumbo Bale raced wide in the home straight.

Zipping Spud and Superior Bont were slow to begin. Superior Bont and Sharp Missile collided soon after the start checking Sharp Missile.  Ikon Parker, Lightning Boxy and Freddy Perfect collided approaching the first turn checking Ikon Parker. Ikon Parker and Zipping Spud collided on the first turn. Lightning Boxy and Sharp Missile collided approaching the winning post. 

Angel Dash was quick to begin. Kingsbrae Cheeko was slow to begin. Kingsbrae Cheeko and Dynastic Ruler collided on the second turn checking Dynastic Ruler.

Quavo and Equilibrium collided soon after the start. Apex Within and Weetbix Jester collided on the third turn checking Weetbix Jester. Equilibrium raced wide in the home straight.

Head Loch was quick to begin. Moresby was slow to begin. Max Tractor and Calcaneal collided on the first turn checking Calcaneal. Max Tractor and Scott To Give collided entering the back straight checking Scott To Give. Clacaneal and Moresby collided on the second turn.

Stewards spoke and issued a warning to Mr J.Geall regarding his failure to adhere to the GRV dress code pursuant to LLR 22.3.

Wolf Point and Gunmetal Liam collided soon after the start.

Penny Worth and Cinnamon Rose collided on the first turn checking Penny Worth. Bigtime Bruce, Atlantic Jewel and Spolly James collided approaching the home turn. Wolf Point, Gunmetal Liam and Spolly James collided entering the home straight.

Bigtime Bruce was vetted following a fall in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a small abrasion to the left metatarsus.  No stand down period was imposed.

Penny Worth was vetted following the event, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr J. Willoughby the representative of Penny Worth regarding the greyhounds performance. Mr Willoughby stated that the greyhound received interference throughout the event and that the greyhound was short priced favourite based on the its last two starts. Stewards noted Mr Willoughbys explanation and took no further action. 

Kraken Greta, China Catch 'Em and It's Magic collided on the first turn checking It's Magic and Kraken Greta. Lucky Luna and Vivian Shiraz collided entering the home straight.

Lucky Omar, Red Lagoon and Fawn Pursuit collided soon after the start checking Lucky Omar and Red Lagoon. Let's Run and Fawn Pursuit collided on the first turn. Yenderrra Blue, Mr. Diaz and Hit 'N' Split collided on the first turn checking Yenderra Blue and Mr. Diaz. Yenderra Blue galloped on the heels of Hit 'N' Split approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Mr. Diaz and Let's Run collided entering the home straight.

Zipping Megan and Banjo Fever collided soon after the start. Dum Didee Dum and Little Red Hot collided on the first turn checking Little Red Hot which collided with Banjo Fever, severely checking Banjo Fever.

Short Leash was quick to begin. Shazza Weetbix was slow to begin. Quest Allen and Rellim Diesel collided soon after the start, checking Rellim Diesel. Shaina Cabang and Don Quixote collided on the home turn, checking Don Quixote.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Base Camp trialled over the 425m from box 1, weight 37.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24.24, the greyhound won by a margin of 1 length. Base Camp was Cleared To Race In Blinkers. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Liberal Nunnio trialled over the 425m from box 8, weight 32.7kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 24.24, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 length. Liberal Nunnio was Cleared .
