Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr C Morris-Flynn, the trainer of Banana Honeybear regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Banana Honeybear last raced on 2nd December 2018. Mr Morris-Flynn stated that the greyhound had a change of kennel. Mr C. Morris-Flynn, also declared a new weight of 29.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Banana Honeybear last raced at 30.9kg.
Gentleman Jock and Miss Minjee were slow to begin.
Gentleman Jock checked off Banana Honeybear soon after the start. Kelli Pochette checked off Walk With Yessam soon after the start. Niamh's Double, Banana Honeybear and Sylo collided approaching the first turn checking Banana Honeybear. Gentleman Jock and Miss Minjee collided on the first turn. Sylo checked off Gentleman Jock on the first turn. Walk With Yessam and Rapid Highway collided on the first turnchecking Walk With Yessam. Banana Honeybear and Sylo collided on the first turn. Banana Honeybear underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left calf. No stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Niamh's Double - the winner of the event.
