Steward's Report

A pre race sample was taken from Tiggerlong Ray.

Toss The Dice, Tiggerlong Ray and Ruby Rads collided approaching the first turn, checking Tiggerlong Ray. Awesome Freckles, Rapid Rock and Possibly collided on the first turn, checking Awesome Freckles. Dynamic Street checked off Ruby Rads on the first turn. Awesome Freckles and Ruby Rads collided approaching the home turn checking Awesome Freckles. Toss The Dice failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn checking Possibly. 

A sample was taken from Deep Creek Girl - the winner of the event.

Toss The Dice was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Stanton, the trainer of the greyhound Toss The Dice regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Toss The Dice with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Stanton pleaded not guilty to the charge, Toss The Dice was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
