A car park and pre race sample was unable to be obtained from Springvale Misty, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Wicked Reason, New Sense, Ebby's Plan and Smart Sailor collided soon after the start checking Wicked Reason and Ebby's Plan. Springvale Misty underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have an injury to the lower back and right thigh, a ten day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr A. Varichone regarding the greyhound's performance in this event. Mr Varichone stated that he has had the greyhound for just over a week, had satisfactory blood sample results, the greyhound checked over and trialled at Geelong where it was quick early and weakened late, similar to today's performance. Mr Varichone could not explain the greyhound's short odds and did not place a bet in the race.  Mr Varichone added that he intends to trial before nominating again as the greyhound would benefit from more track experience.

Maramba was a late scratching at 15.02pm on the advice of the On-track veterinarian due to an abraded pad on the right fore. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr R. Colpoys, trainer of Tankalicious declared a new weight of 36.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tankalicious last raced at 34.6kgs.

Lacarabine, My Boy Joey and Kingsley Boy collided soon after the start checking Lacarabine and My Boy Joey. Snow Osti and Kiowa Kaema collided on the first turn checking Snow Osti. Stewards spoke to Ms M Niele regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Sudden Call  Stewards directed that Sudden Call be boxed first in future events.

Run Maggie Run was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration on the right ear.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Redenbach, the trainer of Apache Bro regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Apache Bro last raced on 1st September 2018. Mr Redenbach stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after an injury to both hocks.

Bakali Louis was a late scratching at 6:49pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian due to a right carpal spain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Blue Magnum and Blackjack Cruise were slow to begin.

Blackjack Cruise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right forearm, left front toe and right metatarsal.  No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative T. Deglaitis regarding the greyhound's race manner approaching the home turn. After taking evidence from Ms Deglaitis and viewing the official replays (head on and side on) a warning was issued against the greyhound.

Stewards spoke to Mr M Niele, the trainer of Angel Cloud regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Angel Cloud last raced on 17th October 2018. Mr Niele stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from being on season.
