Stewards spoke to Ms. B. Glen, the handler of the greyhound Big Fat Goalie regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Big Fat Goalie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left hind toe, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Big Fat Goalie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Glen pleaded guilty to the charge, Big Fat Goalie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms Cassandra Barnard, the trainer of Allen Unther regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Allen Unther last raced on 15th October 2018. Ms Barnard stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of kennels.

Cosmic Yessam and Allen Unther were slow to begin.

Lou's Dream and Slick Diamond collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Lou's Dream. Slick Diamond faltered approaching the home turn. Groucho and Awesome Freckles raced wide on the home turn. Awesome Freckles raced wide in the home straight.

Lou's Dreams was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained fractures to the left metacarpal, left wrist and left radius/ulna and was humanely euthanased.

Slick Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right fore and hind toes, a neck injury and a left wrist injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr S.Waycott, the handler of Moyarra Fantasy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Moyarra Fantasy last raced on 20th August 2018. Mr Waycott stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal. Mr Waycott declared a new weight of 31.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Moyarra Fantasy last raced at 32.4kg.
