Steward's Report
You Jager was a late scratching at 15:15 on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration above the left eye. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Badelaide Road was slow to begin. Sylo stumbled soon after the start and was very slow (6 lengths). Bashful Boy, Pennyroyal Tee and Refueled collided approaching the first turn checking Refueled. Bashful Boy and Pennyroyal Tee collided on the first turn checking Pennyroyal Tee. Badelaide Road and Holy Storm collided approaching the home turn checking Pennyroyal Tee. Pennyroyal Tee clipped the heels of Badelaide Road on the home turn. Refueled and Badelaide Road collided in the home straight checking Badelaide Road. Holy Storm and Badelaide Road collided in the home straight.
Sylo was vetted and after being re-vetted following event six, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke Mr N.Mason the trainer of Sylo regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Mr Mason stated that the greyhound stumbled at box rise and made up ground throughout the event. After reviewing all available footage and acting on their own observations Stewards took no further action.
