Bombora Rocket and You're Welcome collided soon after the start. Kamchatka Lenny and Treble Clef collided on the first turn checking Kamchatka Lenny and Bombora Rocket. You're Welcome and Treble Clef collided approaching the home turn. Premier Back marred the running of Ebby's Plan in the home straight checking Ebby's Plan. Kamchatka Lenny raced wide in the home straight.
Premier Back was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Merton, the trainer of the greyhound Premier Back regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Premier Back with marring. Mr. Merton pleaded guilty to the charge, Premier Back was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
