The outside temperature at race start time was 32.3 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 21.1 degrees.
Goorawin crossed in soon after the start checking Flash Frankie and Gunmetal Liam. Carson County and Baggy's Request collided soon after the start. Carson County and Gunmetal Liam collided approaching the first turn checking Carson County. Gunmetal Liam checked off Goorawin on the home turn.
Carson County was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained exercise induced Ataxia, no stand down period was imposed.
