A pre race sample was taken from Jen Shen.
Reverend John was quick to begin. Honestly Bob and Ruby Rads collided soon after the start checking Honestly Bob. Jen Shen lost ground on the first turn. Jen Shen and Honestly Bob collided approaching the home turn. Lucky Omar and Honestly Bob collided entering the home straight.
Jen Shen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Honestly Bob was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and a right chest muscle injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Harding, the trainer of the greyhound Jen Shen. Stewards deemed the performance of Jen Shen unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Jen Shen must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
