Stewards spoke to Mr.G.Edwards, the trainer of Amber‘s Dolly regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Amber's Dolly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Amber's Dolly with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Edwards pleaded not guilty to the charge, Amber's Dolly was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dorothy Dawn was a late scratching at 14:38 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr K. Kelly was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Mallia, the trainer of Urana Smacko, regarding the length of time taken in the boxing of his greyhound, prior to the starting of the event. Stewards noted Mr. Mallia's explanation and issued a warning to him that he is to box his greyhounds in a more timely manner, in future events.

Cruising Stella was quick to begin. Spring Ace was slow to begin.

Cavalry Rose was a late scratching at 14.33 on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration and an elevated temperature. A three day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Hayley's Style trialled over the 400M from box 1, weight 27.2kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22:89 the greyhound was beaten a margin of 1L. Hayley's Style was Cleared.
