Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr D Kee, the trainer of Blackpool Flyer regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Blackpool Flyer last raced at Geelong on 26 June 2018. Mr Kee stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennels. Stewards questoned Mr Kee regarding the bona fides of the training and ownership of Blackpool Flyer between the period of 28 June 2018 and 1 November 2018. Mr Kee stated that the greyhound is domiciled at the kennel address he shares with his daughter in law and previous owner Ms S Swan. Mr Kee further stated that he then lodged a kennel return with Greyhound Racing Victoria once he became registered as an Owner/Trainer. Stewards accepted Mr Kee's explanation but reminded him of his responsibilities in relation to GAR 105(4)(i).
A pre-race sample was taken from Toni Toni Toni.
Blackpool Flyer, Ko Mai Si and Toni Toni Toni were quick to begin. Dyna Dom was slow to begin. Ko Mai Si, Winlock Shakey and Regal Duke collided soon after the start checking Winlock Shakey and Regal Duke. Regal Duke, Winlock Shakey, Ko Mai Si and Coyote collided on the first turn checking Ko Mai Si, Winlock Shakey and Coyote. Blackpool Flyer checked off Toni Toni Toni on the first turn checking Blackpool Flyer, Dyna Dom and Blackwater Girl. Coyote and Winlock Shakey collided on several occasions from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Regal Duke checked off Toni Toni Toni approaching the home turn. Blackpool Flyer and Blackwater Girl collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
