Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Collyer, the trainer of Sienna's Gem regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sienna's Gem last raced on 6th April, 2018. Mr. Collyer stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left hamstring injury.
A pre race sample was taken from Sienna's Gem.
Luca Rocket was slow to begin. Disco Lemonade, Ha Ha Gotcha and Sienna's Gem collided approaching the first turn, checking Ha Ha Gotcha. Sienna's Gem checked off Disco Lemonade on the first turn. Ha Ha Gotcha and Sienna's Gem collided approaching the home turn, checking Sienna's Gem. Invented checked off Luca Rocket in the home straight.
Sienna's Gem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and right shoulder, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
