Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr M D'angelo, the handler of Happy Cruising regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Happy Cruising last raced on 12th July 2018. Mr D'angelo stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a extended spell. Mr D'angelo also declared a new weight of 31.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Happy Cruising last raced at 30.2kg.
A pre race sample was taken from Dyna Bonnay.
Greg's Choice and Chief Long Face were slow to begin.
Happy Cruising, Chief Long Face and Pyrenees Blaze collided approaching the first turn, checking Greg's Choice. Janray Mazel Tov and Greg's Choice raced wide on the home turn.
Happy Cruising was vetted following the event. It was reported there was no apparent injury found.
