Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. O. Mcgovern the trainer of Chiming In regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Chiming In last raced on 21/06/18. Mr. Mcgovern stated that the greyhound was returning to a racing following a right hock injury.
Little Samara was quick to begin. Rocky's Kayo and Chiming In were slow to begin. Little Samara and Fine For Me collided soon after the start. My Bro Black was checked off Little Samara approaching the first turn. Chiming In was checked off Casper's Fantasy on the first turn. Black Patchwork eased approaching the home turn and collided with Fine For Me, both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Little Samara eased on the home turn. Casper's Fantasy eased on the home turn. Casper's Fantasy and Little Samara collided entering the home straight. My Bro Black was checked off Casper's Fantasy entering the home straight. Fine For Me, Black Patchwork, Casper's Fantasy and Little Samara collided in the home straight. My Bro Black and Bluwy collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Jarkis the trainer of the greyhound Black Patchwork regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Black Patchwork was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 3, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shin, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Black Patchwork with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Jarkis pleaded guilty to the charge, Black Patchwork was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Little Samara with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Gringhuis pleaded guilty to the charge, Little Samara was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Casper's Fantasy was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 4, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Casper's Fantasy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Churchill pleaded not guilty to the charge, Casper's Fantasy was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
