Mr D Basile was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card were produced for the greyhound Double Mist pursuant to GAR 33.
You Ziptop was a late scratching at 11.08am - Steward NonPenalty (GAR 33).
Double Mist failed to pursue the lure soon after the start. Double Mist and Yaritza Allen colllided soon after the start checking Yaritza Allen. Aron Allen and Double Mist collided approaching the first turn checking Aron Allen. Double Mist, Yaritza Allen and Quip Allen collided on the first turn checking Yaritza Allen and Quip Allen. Yaritza Allen, Quip Allen and Avatar Suzie collided approaching the home turn checking Yaritza Allen. Double Mist raced wide on the home turn.
Yaritza Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left quadriceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D Basile the trainer of the greyhound Double Mist regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Double Mist was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left trapezius, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Double Mist with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr D Basile pleaded guilty to the charge, Double Mist was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
