Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Taylor Bale upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Scott A Secret was quick to begin. Luca Flyer was slow to begin. Taylor Bale and Calabrese Bullet collided soon after the start, checking Calabrese Bullet. Calabrese Bullet checked off Luca Flyer in the home straight.
Taylor Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg achilles tendon injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results - See Ya Mate trialled over the 450m from box one, weight 33.6kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 25:56, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.5 lengths. See Ya Mate was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Seona Thompson, the trainer of Aston Miley, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Aston Miley last raced on 13 January 2018. Ms Thompson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after whelping a litter. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Aston Miley trialled over the 450m from box seven, weight 30.8kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 25:56, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.5 lengths. Aston Miley was Cleared.
