A pre race sample was taken from Capo.
Zenstar was quick to begin. Eureka Osti and Melissa Lee were slow to begin. Aston Veloci, Eureka Osti and Zuberi collided approaching the first turn. Capo checked off the heels of Zenstar on the first turn. Inga Ted checked off the heels of Zenstar on the first turn. Capo, Inga Ted, Aston Veloci, Eureka Osti, Zuberi and Melissa Lee collided heavily on the first turn, severely checking Melissa Lee and causing Eureka Osti to fall. Capo shifted out approaching the home turn, and raced wide.
Eureka Osti was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Melissa Lee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
