Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Raloo Barbara.
Here Comes Tom and Tuscan Dream were quick to begin. Raloo Barbara, Latissimus Dorsi and Right Said Frank were slow to begin.
Raloo Barbara eased approaching the first turn. Tuscan Dream and My Fernando Tim collided approaching the first turn checking My Fernando Tim. Wackadooka checked off Right Said Frank approaching the first turn. Raloo Barbara and My Fernando Tim collided in the home straight. Raloo Barbara eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr W Green, the trainer of the greyhound Raloo Barbara regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn and over the concluding stages. Raloo Barbara was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Raloo Barbara with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr W Green pleaded guilty to the charge, Raloo Barbara was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
