Chase To Wyn was vetted and re vetted following race 4. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Mr T Mitchell, the handler of the greyhound Chase To Wyn, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Chase To Wyn with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr T Mitchell pleaded guilty to the charge, Chase To Wyn was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Lava Lamp - the winner of the event.

Coco Bongo was a late scratching at 11:11am due to non arrival (GAR 31). Trainer S. Kando explained the reason for the non arrival was due to being unaware of the significantly earlier start time. Under the circumstances the greyhound was not issued a penalty, Trainer Mr S Kando was fined the sum of $100.

Skeeta Storm was slow to begin.

Skidlisha, La Coconut and Smart Sailor collided approaching the first turn. Skidlisha checked off La Coconut on the first turn checking Smart Sailor. La Coconut and Skidlisha collided in the home straight.

Still In Play was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder joint injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr W Green, the trainer of the greyhound Raloo Barbara regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn and over the concluding stages.  Raloo Barbara was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Raloo Barbara with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr W Green pleaded guilty to the charge, Raloo Barbara was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hanga was vetted following the event.  It was reported the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hock.  No stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments.

Whatta Lady trialled over the 400m from box 1, weight 28.7kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.84, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12L.  Whatta Lady was Cleared.

Galina Reznikov trialled over the 400m from box 3, weight 24.8kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.84, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.5L. Galina Reznikov was Cleared.

Charlie Bear trialled over the 400m from box 8, weight 36.6kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.84, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5L.  Charlie Bear was Cleared.  Trainer, David Graham, also redeclared a new weight of 36.6kgs.

Gregorovitch trialled over the 400m from box 1, weight 39.4kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.04, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.75L. Gregorovitch was Cleared.

Little Pookie trialled over the 400m from box 2, weight 28.5kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.04, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 11.5L. Little Pookie was Cleared. 

Karise Fusileer trialled over the 400m from box 5, weight 27.8kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75L. Karise Fusileer was Cleared.

Dee Jakit trialled over the 400m from box 6, weight 32.0kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 23.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.25L. Dee Jakit was Cleared.

Lightning Seven trialled over the 400m from box 8, weight 31.6kg the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11.6L. Lighting Seven was Cleared.
