Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Banknote upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Lava Lamp, Banknote and Dyna Diode were slow to begin.
Chase To Wyn, Dyna Eleana and Dyna Charee collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Dyna Charee. Tee Tee and Fly Night collided on the first turn. Lava Lamp checked off Banknote approaching the home turn. Chase To Wyn shifted out and eased approaching the home turn and collided with Dyna Eleana and Dyna Diode. Dyna Diode checked off Dyna Eleana approaching the home turn checking Dyna Charee. Dyna Charee and Dyna Diode collided entering the home straight. Banknote and Chase To Wyn collided in the home straight. Banknote, Dyna Charee and Dyna Diode collided several times in the home straight. Chase To Wyn and Dyna Eleana collided several times in the home straight.
Chase To Wyn was vetted and re vetted following race 4. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr T Mitchell, the handler of the greyhound Chase To Wyn, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Chase To Wyn with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr T Mitchell pleaded guilty to the charge, Chase To Wyn was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
