Steward's Report
Laurentide Ice was a late scratching at 2.02pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right hind toe injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Pure Vengeance.
Surfonic Gold was quick to begin. Pure Vengeance and Speedy Ryder were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Surfonic Gold and Zebo Bale collided approaching the first turn. Marko Bale, Zebo Bale and Sergei collided on the first turn checking Zebo Bale and Sergei. Pure Vengeance was checked off Marko Bale on the second turn. Surfonic Gold and Zebo Bale collided entering the home straight. Surfonic Gold and Sergei collided in the home straight.
Pure Vengeance was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
