The amber light was not activated for this event due to a system fault.
A pre-race sample was taken from Scott Pizzazz.
Don's Just Under and You Dance collided soon after the start. Don's Just Under and Emily Skye collided on the first turn, severely checking Emily Skye which stumbled as a result. Daytona Fernando and You Dance collided approaching the home turn, checking Daytona Fernando.
MEETING COMMENTS
Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Mr K Kelly, for arriving at the closure of kennelling time when he had two greyhounds to present.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Inguanti, the trainer of Miss Shieka (late Shieka), regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Miss Shieka last raced on 12 December 2017. Mr Inguanti stated that the greyhound was returning from whelping a litter. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Miss Shieka trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 26.1kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of five. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.75L. Mss Shieka was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Jacobite Joseph trialled over the 390m from box two, weight 32.6kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of five. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25L. Jacobite Joseph was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Flamin' Miracle trialled over the 390m from box seven, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of five. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.5L. Flamin' Miracle was cleared and also cleared to race in blinkers.
Satisfactory Weight Trial Results - Oshkosh Uni Chet trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 35.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of five. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound won by a margin of 0.5L. Oshkosh Uni Chet was cleared.
