A pre-race sample was taken from Loch Mac.
Rellim Diesel, La Bamba Icon and Swift Trent were quick to begin. La Bamba Icon and Rellim Diesel collided soon after the start. Remain Seated checked off Moonquake soon after the start. Remain Seated checked off Rellim Diesel on the first turn. Dyna Diedre and Swift Trent collided approaching the home turn. Moonquake galloped on the heels of Dyna Diedre on the home turn. Firefly Nuts and Loch Mac collided entering the home straight. La Bamba Icon raced erratically in the home straight.
Stewards noted the muzzle of La Bamba Icon became lodged in the greyhounds teeth during the running of this event, stewards took no further action.
La Bamba Icon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild bleeding of the gums and an abrasion to the right fore medial toe, no stand down period was imposed.
