Steward's Report
Mega Mckayla was quick to begin. Cosa Bona and Banjo Sally collided soon after the start. Cosa Bona, Banjo Sally, Grey Magic and Goldielocks Rose collided on the first turn checking Cosa Bona. Sambucca Rose failed to pursue the lure on the first turn and collided with Mega Mckayla causing both greyhounds to race wide from the first turn to the home turn. Banjo Sally and Goldielocks Rose collided on the home turn.
Sambucca Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Representative Mr. S. Kaltsis declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Kaltsis the representative for the greyhound Sambucca Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Sambucca Rose with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Kaltsis pleaded guilty to the charge, Sambucca Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
