Busta Voe was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle and a small spike wound to the right front toe, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Garrido was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right front foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Smith the representative for Secret Business regarding the length of time since the greyhound has had between races.  Secret Business last raced on 20/04/18.  Ms. Smith stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Flip was slow to begin.  Flip and Dr. Paulina collided on the first turn.  Destructo Rat and Secret Business collided on the second turn checking Flip and Destructo Rat.  Galloping Rokyto and Secret Business collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Mega Mckayla was quick to begin.  Cosa Bona and Banjo Sally collided soon after the start.  Cosa Bona, Banjo Sally, Grey Magic and Goldielocks Rose collided on the first turn checking Cosa Bona.  Sambucca Rose failed to pursue the lure on the first turn and collided with Mega Mckayla causing both greyhounds to race wide from the first turn to the home turn. Banjo Sally and Goldielocks Rose collided on the home turn.

Sambucca Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Representative Mr. S. Kaltsis declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Kaltsis the representative for the greyhound Sambucca Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Sambucca Rose with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Kaltsis pleaded guilty to the charge, Sambucca Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Whitford the trainer of the greyhound Lights Of Tanjil regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Lights Of Tanjil last raced on 07/01/18.  Mr. Whitford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell and change of kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Lights Of Tanjil trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 33.1kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.54 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .5 length.  Lights Of Tanjil was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Aguis the trainer of the greyhound Invictus Helena regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Invictus Helena last raced on 16/11/17.  Mr. Aguis stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change in kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Invictus Helena trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 26.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.54 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of .5 length.  Invictus Helena was cleared.

Satisfactory trial result:-

Mary In Love trialled over 315 metres from box 3, weight 28.2kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.54 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 76 lengths.  Mary In Love was not cleared.

Elphaba Oz trialled over 395 metres from box 4, weight 25.7kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.30secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of a neck.  Elphaba Oz was cleared.
