Steward's Report
Mr. A. Whitehead trainer of Sudoku Buddah declared a new weight of 31.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sudoku Buddah last raced at 32.6kg.
Sudoku Buddah and Lady Nina were slow to begin. Miss Winks and Mia Shan collided soon after the start checking Mia Shan. Skidlisha, Setting Moon and Miss Winks collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Winks. Miss Winks, Mia Shan and Skidlisha collided on the first turn checking Skidlisha and Mia Shan. Miss Winks and Fascinate Queen collided on the home turn. Miss Winks eased in the home straight and collided with Sudoku Buddah
Mia Shan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right foot. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Miss Winks was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions to the left foot. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Chircop, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Winks regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Miss Winks with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Chircop pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Winks was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
