Steward's Report
Eadie Gee and Lady Pippa collided on the first turn. Triceps Brachii, Like Lily and Secret Number collided on the first turn checking Triceps Brachii and Secret Number. Lady Pippa and Eadie Gee collided on the second turn. Like Lily marred the running of Lady Freckles on the home turn, entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Welshman lost ground entering the home straight.
Welshman was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Like Lily was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Pace, the trainer of the greyhound Like Lily regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Like Lily with marring. Mr. Pace pleaded guilty to the charge, Like Lily was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
