Mr. R. Morgan trainer of Argyle Franklin declared a new weight of 34.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Argyle Franklin last raced at 32.8kg.

Bombastic Trixie was slow to begin. Fancy Anna, Magical Ruby, Bombora Rocket and Polly's Nigel collided on the first turn checking Fancy Anna, Bombora Rocket and Magical Ruby. Premier Back and Bombastic Trixie collided approaching the second turn. Magical Ruby lost ground in the back straight. Premier Back, Bombastic Trixie and Polly's Nigel collided on the second turn checking Premier Back. Polly's Nigel and Bombastic Trixie collided in the home straight. Magical Ruby faltered in the home straight.

Magical Ruby was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 10. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Husky Hoofs, Fabelite and Kissem were quick to begin. White Swirl was slow to begin. Husky Hoofs, Longbow and Badelaide Road collided soon after the start. Fabelite and Kissem collided approaching the first turn. Husky Hoofs and Mayor Goodway collided approaching the first turn checking Mayor Goodway. Longbow and Badelaide Road collided on the first turn checking Badelaide Road. Mayor Goodway and White Swirl collided approaching the home turn. Mayor Goodway, White Swirl, Longbow and Not Yours Frank collided on the home turn checking Mayor Goodway and severely checking Not Yours Frank which lost ground. Longbow and Badelaide Road collided entering the home straight.

Not Yours Frank was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left groin. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Fawn Regrets and Three Soldiers were slow to begin. Please Stand Up and Sketchy Skinny collided soon after the start. Please Stand Up, Medika and Launch Time collided approaching the first turn checking Medika. Please Stand Up galloped on the heels of Launch Time on the first turn severely checking Medika, Fawn Regrets and Please Stand Up. Moonquake and Launch Time collided on the home turn. Moonquake and Sketchy Skinny collided entering the home straight. Sketchy Skinny and Launch Time collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Medika was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the front right foot. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Chook Richards was a late scratching at 2.13pm  by Order of Stewards. Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Newman, trainer of the greyhound Chook Richards and issued a charge pursuant to GAR 31(1), in that he failed to present the greyhound Chook Richards for this event, which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Mr. Newman pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Mr. Newman guilty and issued him with a fine of $200.

Eadie Gee and Lady Pippa collided on the first turn. Triceps Brachii, Like Lily and Secret Number collided on the first turn checking Triceps Brachii and Secret Number. Lady Pippa and Eadie Gee collided on the second turn. Like Lily marred the running of Lady Freckles on the home turn, entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Welshman lost ground entering the home straight.

Welshman was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Like Lily was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Pace, the trainer of the greyhound Like Lily regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Like Lily with marring. Mr. Pace pleaded guilty to the charge, Like Lily was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Calen and Seven Two collided approaching the first turn. China Catch 'Em and Calen collided on the first turn. China Catch 'Em, Calen, Casanova and Seven Two collided entering the back straight. Gold Attraction and China Catch 'Em collided approaching the second turn checking Gold Attraction. Seven Two and Calen collided on the second turn. Gold Attraction and Test Pilot collided approaching the home turn checking Test Pilot. Seven Two and Calen collided entering the home straight.

Steward’s issued a warning to Mr. K. Ashton, trainer of China Catch 'Em in that he made contact with the rear of the boxes after boxing the greyhound. GAR 51 (10)(c).

Golden Blaze was quick to begin. Super Stoked, Klondike Gold and Seabrook Indi collided soon after the start. Golden Blaze and Super Stoked collided approaching the first turn. Seabrook Indi, Klondike Gold and Fawn Pursuit collided approaching the first turn. Super Stoked and Golden Blaze collided on the first turn checking Golden Blaze. Fawn Pursuit and Seabrook Indi collided approaching the home turn. Super Stoked and Klondike Gold collided entering the home straight and in the home straight checking Super Stoked.

Lonesome Spring was very slow to begin (4L). Dyna Nancy and Nareen collided on the first turn. Our Mate Wilson and Spyfection collided on the first turn. Nareen, Our Mate Wilson and Joycee Rae collided entering the back straight. Dyna Nancy and Spyfection collided approaching the second turn. Nareen and Dyna Nancy collided in the home straight.

Nareen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr. A. Whitehead trainer of Sudoku Buddah declared a new weight of 31.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sudoku Buddah last raced at 32.6kg.

Sudoku Buddah and Lady Nina were slow to begin. Miss Winks and Mia Shan collided soon after the start checking Mia Shan. Skidlisha, Setting Moon and Miss Winks collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Winks. Miss Winks, Mia Shan and Skidlisha collided on the first turn checking Skidlisha and Mia Shan. Miss Winks and Fascinate Queen collided on the home turn. Miss Winks eased in the home straight and collided with Sudoku Buddah

Mia Shan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right foot. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Miss Winks was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions to the left foot. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Chircop, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Winks regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Miss Winks with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Chircop pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Winks was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Setting Moon, winner of the event.

Mr D. Graham trainer of Dorset Dasha declared a new weight of 31.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dorset Dasha last raced at 30.5kg.

On Time Johnny was slow to begin. Gin Lee's Pride was very slow to begin (4L). Able and Trail Blazer collided soon after the start checking Able. Dorset Dasha and Trail Blazer collided approaching the first turn checking Dorset Dasha. Dorset Dasha, Trail Blazer and On Time Johnny collided on the first turn checking On Time Johnny which collided with Lektra Diamond. Lektra Diamond, On Time Johnny, Gin Lee's Pride and Able collided approaching the home turn checking Lektra Diamond.

An out of competition sample was taken from Gone Rusty on 23 July 2018.

Gone Rusty and Moonbeam collided soon after the start. Our Flying Laura and Spring Shower collided approaching the first turn. Moonbeam and White Ambush collided approaching the first turn checking Moonbeam. Gone Rusty and Terry Towelling collided on the first turn checking Gone Rusty. Gone Rusty raced wide on the home turn.

A sample was taken from Rapid Rock, winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tron's Empire.

Tron's Empire and Maximum Joan collided on the first turn. Tron's Empire, Cinnamon Cindy and Noosa Jet collided on the home turn. Maximum Joan raced wide in the home straight. Captain Marvel and Noosa Jet collided approaching the winning post.

Satisfactory Trial Results - You Bandit trialled over the 425m from box 3, weight 31.1kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.60, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.5L. You Bandit was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. Mr. R. Gray, the trainer of Anna Victorem regarding the length of time since the greyhound had raced (coursed 27 August 2017).  Mr. Gray stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Anna Victorem trialled over the 425m from box 6, weight 27.4kg, the greyhound was placed 4 in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 24.60, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5L. Anna Victorem was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Wok Djay trialled over the 425m from box 7, weight 34.5kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.60, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.25L. Wok Djay was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Short Leash trialled over the 425m from box 8, weight 25.2kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.60, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.25L. Short Leash was cleared.
