A pre-race sample was taken from Why Not Lola.
Why Not Lola was slow to begin. Magic Trap, Totally Bullish and Wot Price Boofa collided approaching the first turn. Totally Bullish checked off Magic Trap approaching the first turn. Wot Price Boofa and Why Not Lola collided in the home straight. Wot Price Boofa eased approaching the winning post, checking Why Not Lola and Totally Bullish.
Wot Price Boofa was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Allen, the trainer of the greyhound Wot Price Boofa, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Wot Price Boofa with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Allen pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wot Price Boofa was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted
