Mr Bruce Russell was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers/registration card were produced for the greyhound Keem Gem pursuant to GAR 33.

Due to operational delays in the kennelling process, kennels closed approximately eight minutes late. 

Keen Gem, Molly The Lolly and Cee Me Shine were slow to begin.  Cee Me Shine and Start From Zero collided soon after the start.  Black Patchwork and Aston Narita collided approaching the first turn.  Molly The Lolly and Cee Me Shine collided approaching the first turn.  Black Patchwork and Aston Narita collided on the first turn.  Cee Me Shine crossed to the outside approaching the home turn, checking Start From Zero.  Keen Gem and Another Nalin collided in the home straight.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Select Mick, engaged in this event on 18 July 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

New Fire Girl was quick to begin.  Magic Flora was slow to begin.  Select Mick and Thurles Princess collided soon after the start.  Select Mick galloped on Thurles Princess on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds.  Goldie's Nugget checked off Dreamliner on the first turn.  Spritely Star raced wide approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from New Fire Girl - the winner of the event.

Aremac Igor and Cosmic Sole were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Aremac Igor checked off Five Lights on the first turn.  Surgical Wally and Five Lights collided on the home turn, checking Five Lights.  Surgical Wally and Aremac Igor collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Zipping Dancer, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Zipping Dancer was quick to begin.  Trapezius, Voluptuous Ruby, Zipping Hazel, Nimble Lucy, Ballistic Gem and It's Debatable collided soon after the start, checking Trapezius and Zipping Hazel.  Bluehawk Ralph and Ballistic Gem collided on the first turn, checking Bluehawk Ralph.  Zipping Hazel checked off Bluehawk Ralph approaching the home turn.  Trapezius checked off Voluptuous Ruby approaching the home turn.  Trapezius raced wide on the home turn.  Voluptuous Ruby and It's Debatable collided entering the home straight.

Galaxy Star and Acquire were slow to begin.  Acquire crossed to the outside approaching the first turn.  Mizuki and Rurik collided approaching the first turn.  Wild Hunny, Mizuki and Rurik collided on the first turn, severely checking Wild Hunny and Mizuki.  Rurik checked off Totally Fab collided on the first turn, checking Adala Son.  Voluptuous Dot, Adala Son and Acquire raced wide on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Shooters Ali.

Tarquin Bob, Modern Jagger and Shooters Ali were slow to begin.  Shooters Ali clipped the heels of Scooby Scooby Do soon after the start.  Dream Gem and Owlette collided approaching the first turn.  Modern Jagger checked off Owlette approaching the first turn.  Shooters Ali, Modern Jagger and Scooby Scooby Do collided approaching the home turn.  Shooters Ali and Scooby Scooby Do raced wide in the home straight.  Dream Gem eased approaching the winning post.

Dream Gem was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms L Russell, the handler of the greyhound Dream Gem, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Dream Gem with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Dream Gem was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Wolfie's Sook.

Bronelly Spike, Heard It Before and Miss Kirteish were slow to begin.  Takaho Tiger checked off Wolfie's Sook soon after the start.  Buzz The Tower and Miss Kirteish collided approaching the first turn.  Bronelly Spike checked off Buzz The Tower on the first turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tibby Shore.

Valley Reaper, Gypsy Kiowa and Lucy Gem collided soon after the start.  Valley Reaper and Lucy Gem collided approaching the home turn, checking Lucy Gem.  Nostalgia and Gypsy Kiowa collided approaching the home turn.  Lucy Gem and My Barcia collided entering the home straight.

Why Not Lola was slow to begin.  Magic Trap, Totally Bullish and Wot Price Boofa collided approaching the first turn.  Totally Bullish checked off Magic Trap approaching the first turn.  Wot Price Boofa and Why Not Lola collided in the home straight.  Wot Price Boofa eased approaching the winning post, checking Why Not Lola and Totally Bullish.

Wot Price Boofa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr G Allen, the trainer of the greyhound Wot Price Boofa, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Wot Price Boofa with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Allen pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wot Price Boofa was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted

A pre-race sample was taken from Inda Way.

Dubai Prince was slow to begin.  Slingshot Jayla and Inda Way collided soon after the start.  She's Our Poppy, Dubai Prince and Johnny Utah collided on the first turn, checking Dubai Prince and Johnny Utah; severely checking She's Our Poppy which fell as a result.   She's Our Poppy failed to finish the event.

She's Our Poppy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg thigh injury and abrasions/swelling to the left metatarsal, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Daniel Despard, trainer of Beast, declared a new weight of 35.9 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Beast last raced at 37.2 kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Acey Boy.

Apila Cash, Boof's Banjo and Beast were slow to begin.  Lektra Damage and Weeona Annie collided approaching the first turn.  Acey Boy checked off Crocodile Senor approaching the first turn.  Lektra Damage and Acey Boy collided on the first turn, checking Acey Boy.  Weeona Annie and Acey Boy collided on the first turn, checking Acey Boy.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Supa Shalala trialled over the 400m from box one, weight 29.3 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of six.  The time of the trial was 22:99, the greyhound was beate by a margin of 4.5 lengths.  Supa Shalala was Cleared.
