Nicky Jo was slow to begin.
Trapezius and Ruby's Diamond collided soon after the start. Mustang Bay, Dorothy Dawn, Paid Too Much and Secret Number collided approaching the first turn, checking Paid Too Much. Secret Number checked off Nicky Jo on the first turn, also checking Ruby's Diamond. Paid Too Much checked off Secret Number on the home turn.
Dorothy Dawn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain of the right wrist and an injury to the right quadiceps muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
