Major Style stumbled soon after the start. Knocker's Gold checked off Xevra Allen on the first turn, checking Bombora Rocket and Trois Femmes. Bombora Rocket and Trois Femmes collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Knocker's Gold checked off Major Style approaching the home turn. Xevra Allen, Badelaide Road and Call Me Britney collided on the home turn. Badelaide Road checked off Notorious King in the home straight.
Trois Femmes was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left flexor tendon and to the abdominal muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
