Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Fulford the representative for Prince Ferno regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Prince Ferno last raced on 18/01/18.  Mr. Fulford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left dew claw injury.  Mr. Fulford declared a new weight of 29.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Prince Ferno last raced at 31.5kg.

Mr. S. Mallia the trainer of Tinker Bess declared a new weight of 26.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Tinker Bess last raced at 25.0kg.

Prince Ferno was quick to begin.  Tinker Bess was slow to begin.  Destinys Child and Platinum Malt collided soon after the start checking Tinker Bess.  Prince Ferno, Casper's Fantasy and Gee Dalton collided on the first turn checking Prince Ferno and Casper's Fantasy.

Casper's Fantasy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left lumbar area, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Pandora Charm was quick to begin.  Tinker Ben and Magic Flora were slow to begin.  Hashtag Spolly and Lightfoot Lass collided on the first turn checking Lightfoot Lass.  Woody's My Name eased approaching the home turn.  Tinker Ben and Magic Flora collided approaching the home turn checking Tinker Ben.  Select All and Woody's My Name collided on the home turn.

Woody's My Name was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Trainer Mr. D. Archer declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Archer the trainer of the greyhound Woody's My Name regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Woody's My Name with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Archer pleaded guilty to the charge, Woody's My Name was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Comets Gold was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left foreleg and bruising to the lumber muscle region, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
