A pre-race sample was taken from Foolish.
Recklessness was slow to begin. Claim and Mon Penny collided approaching the first turn, checking Claim. Rando Allen and Pyrenees Daisy collided approaching the first turn, checking Pyrenees Daisy and Claim. Mon Penny checked off Claim on the first turn. Rando Allen, Pyrenees Daisy and Claim collided on the first turn, checking Pyrenees Daisy. Claim raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Pyrenees Daisy and Mon Penny.
Claim underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D Keanelly, the trainer of Claim, regarding its performance on the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Claim must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
