Miss Potential, Showing and Whodat Opal collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Baby Eden checked off Whynot Dan on the first turn.  Gracie Blue checked off Bandwagon approaching the second turn.  Miss Potential and Showing collided on the second turn.  Gracie Blue checked off Baby Eden approaching the home turn.  Baby Eden and Bandwagon collided in the home straight.

Rock In Rio – Late scratching at 8.22AM due to illness. Trainer Mr M. Lanigan reported the greyhound to have displayed symptoms of kennel cough (GAR 23). Mr Lanigan stated that at the time of the scratching deadline he considered the greyhound fit to race. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Luna Chick was slow to begin.

Gino Gambino and Mepunga Daniel collided soon after the start.  Dustification checked off Madam Rosmerta approaching the first turn.  Gino Gambino and Mepunga Daniel collided on the third turn.

Madam Rosmerta underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a probable left shoulder fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Rounds explained that at the scratching deadline time he considered the greyhound fit to race. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
