Steward's Report
Spring Hummer – Late scratching at 11:51AM when trainer Lisa Delbridge reported the greyhound to have a laceration to the left hind pad. (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Prior to this event, following heavy rain, Stewards inspected the track and had concerns with a section in the vicinity of the 390m boxes. Stewards called an indefinite delay to the meeting to allow remedial work to be undertaken. Following this work, the track was further inspected and deemed suitable for racing. As a result, race 5 was re-scheduled for 6:40PM.
Rocky Two and Spring Me collided soon after the start checking Rocky Two. Custom Made checked off Black Kruger on the first turn. Redcliff Rebel checked off Custom Made on the first turn. Aston Imperial and Custom Made collided approaching the winning post checking Black Kruger, Aston Imperial and Custom Made.
Rocky Two underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
